Itinerary
Arrive at Entebbe International airport and be transferred to your accommodation for the night.
After breakfast, transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for on-foot Rhino trekking. The sanctuary is home to the over 20 individuals on the ranch. You will also like the different plants and tree species as you walk through the ranch and learn about the different conservation efforts to bring Rhinos back to Uganda. Opportunities are always available to adopt a Rhino or sign up to a name a new born.
Have lunch and continue on your way to Murchison Falls passing through Budongo Forest with baboons to look out for and other primates. Arrive at the lodge in the evening and relax for the evening.
In the morning after breakfast; go for a morning gamedrive where you will see numerous wildlife to include lions, elephants and beautiful savanna grasslands. The highlight of the park is the Murchison Falls, where the 50 metre wide Nile is forced through a narrow cleft in the rocks, dropping down with a thundering roar and a beautiful rainbow.
Return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, go for the boat excursion to the bottom of the mighty Murchison Falls. While on the boat, you will see more wildlife to include Hippos and a variety of birds species. The three-hour launch trip to the bottom of the Falls is unforgettable, both to experience this mighty river and to see the wildlife and birds that bask on its banks.
After breakfast, transfer to Murchison Falls Park passing through Hoima, fishing villages neighbouring Lake Albert and continuing southward through the local communities. Have lunch en-route and arriving in Kibale late afternoon and relax at the lodge for the evening.

After breakfast, go for a game drive in the park and in the afternoon, a rewarding boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel where you will enjoy a good view of the beautiful landscape and vegetation.
Queen Elizabeth National Park (QE), below the famous Rwenzori mountains, is an African savannah park, consisting of plain surroundings. The park which is part of the western arm of the Great East African Rift Valley, is centred around Lake Edward and Lake George.
After breakfast, pass through the Ishasha sector on a game drive where you may see tree climbing lions and continue into local villages and communities on your way to the Bwindi Forest Park. Arrive at the lodge in the late afternoon with lunch en-route and relax at the lodge for the evening.
After breakfast, you will drive to the Park Headquarters for briefing by the guides before heading for gorilla tracking in the park. Tracking can be hard and challenging hence requires physical fitness of the participants. With a picnic lunch in your back pack and at least two bottles of water, you will up for the gorilla adventure.
Mountain gorillas live in forests high in the mountains, at elevations of 8,000 to 13,000 feet. They have thicker fur, and more of it, compared to other great apes. The fur helps them to survive in a habitat where temperatures often close to freezing.

Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi , relax by the lake and in the afternoon, take a boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi to visit the Pygymy Islands interacting with the communities.
Lake Bunyonyi ("Place of many little birds") lies in south western Uganda between Kisoro and Kabale close to the border with Rwanda. Located at 1,962 m (6,437 ft) above sea level, it is about 25 km (15.5 mi) long and 7 km (1.35 mi) wide. The depth of the lake is rumored to vary between 44 m (144 ft) and 900 m (2,952 ft), which if true would make the lake the second deepest in Africa.
This morning, you will drive to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight out.
Before You Go
- A small, lightweight, frameless, waterproof back/day pack
- Light, waterproof hiking or walking boots or shoes with treaded soles.
- Thick socks.
- High speed film 400 ASA minimum, 800 ASA recommended (no flash photography allowed on the track), fast film, binoculars,
- Long pants (jeans/khakis) and a long sleeved shirt
- Leather or heavy canvas (gardening-style) gloves to grip vegetation (gardening gloves may be advised).
- Waterproof rain pants, a rain suit or poncho with hood.
- Moisture wicking undergarments, lightweight wool socks, long-sleeved shirt,
- sturdy trousers, sunglasses,
- sun screen, a sun hat, a breathable lightweight rain poncho or parka with a rain hat,
- Thick sweaters not necessary on the track, as it gets very hot during tracking. Best to have layers of clothing as temperatures tend to change.
- Light raincoat
- A waterproof, squash-able hat.
- Drinking water. You may ask for a walking stick if needed
